The 2022 Cuvée is a pure expression of Pink Catawba, an indigenous variety to the Northeast whose story is inseparable from the early history of American wine. Pink Catawba earned renown in the 19th century for its delicate fragrance and its suitability for sparkling wine. Our fruit is sourced exclusively from the rolling vineyards of Joyful Vineyards, a trusted growing partner whose care and stewardship of these mature vines ensure fruit of exceptional character.

In honoring the Finger Lakes’ distinction as the birthplace of traditional method sparkling wine in the Western Hemisphere, we have crafted this wine in the time-honored Méthode Champenoise. Grapes are harvested at peak freshness, gently whole-cluster pressed, and undergo secondary fermentation in the bottle. An extended period of lees aging imparts depth and complexity, while hand riddling and disgorgement complete the process, preserving the variety’s vibrant fruit, refined texture, and the fine, persistent mousse that marks a wine of elegance and tradition.
