Shop the 2025 Vintage →This Pinot Gris was crafted to showcase both depth and delicacy from a single, thoughtfully farmed Finger Lakes site. Sustainably farmed, the vineyard site on Nutt Road benefits from sloping glacial soils, steady lake-moderated temperatures, and a consistent western exposure that promotes even ripening and expressive aromatics.
Whole clusters were lightly crushed and left on skins overnight in the press, allowing for subtle phenolic extraction and enhanced texture. Spontaneous fermentation was carried out with native yeasts, highlighting the vineyard’s unique microbial signature and enhancing complexity. The wine was aged in a combination of stainless steel and neutral oak barrels to strike a balance between purity and structure, the former preserving the vibrant orchard fruit character, while barrel aging added dimension and a touch of softness to the palate.
93 points, James Suckling, 2025
A nuanced and textural white, this Pinot Gris opens with aromas of spiced pear and tangerine peel. The palate is layered with notes of golden apple, chamomile, and a savory, slightly smoky edge from extended lees contact and neutral oak aging. The finish is dry, long, and mineral-driven.
