2024 HJW LATE HARVEST RIESLING

New York Wine Classic Winners
$44.99 / bottle (375mL)

The 2024 growing season in the Finger Lakes offered ideal conditions for extended hang time, allowing Riesling grapes to develop concentrated flavors while retaining the region’s signature bright acidity. Carefully selected fruit was harvested late in the season at 36.2° Brix, capturing concentrated tropical flavors and natural sweetness balanced by vibrant freshness.

In the cellar, fermentation was gently managed and stopped to preserve residual sugar and aromatic intensity. Cool fermentation temperatures protected the wine’s expressive tropical and floral character, resulting in a Late Harvest Riesling with a honeyed, rounded mid-palate and a bright, lingering finish that highlights both richness and balance.

Tasting Notes

Our 2024 Late Harvest Riesling is beautifully rich with a roundedness that is the result of the well balanced sweetness and acidity. This wine opens with a tropical nose, bursting with sweet meyer lemon, nectarine, guava, pineapple, and a subtle hint of white flowers. The palate showcases a honeyed and intense mid palate, followed by a bright, gently lingering finish.

Food Pairing
The decadent sweetness and zippy acidity will make this wine pair very well with sweet treats such as lemon tarts, angel food cake, custards, and danishes.
