Explore Current Releases →Our first-ever Blanc de Noirs was crafted from Zweigelt grapes grown in Harry Humphreys' vineyards on Seneca Lake's southwest banks in 2020. The 2021 Finger Lakes growing season, marked by cooler temperatures and steady rainfall, fostered slow ripening, yielding fruit with excellent balance and acidity.
Hand-harvested and whole-cluster pressed, the grapes retained their freshness and elegance. After primary fermentation, the wine aged en tirage to develop complexity, a fine mousse, and depth. The result is a sparkling wine of finesse, where vibrant acidity meets delicate minerality. It stands as a modern expression that honors the Finger Lakes’ proud legacy as the birthplace of traditional method winemaking in the Western Hemisphere.

Crafted in the traditional method, this wine showcases a pale golden hue with delicate, persistent bubbles. On the nose, bright aromas of red apple skin, strawberry, brioche, and a hint of orange blossom unfold, joined by subtle toasted almond and flinty minerality. The palate is elegantly dry, with fine, creamy mousse and vibrant acidity that balances the fruit-driven notes of ripe red currant, raspberry, and a hint of lemon zest. Secondary flavors of brioche, hazelnut, and a touch of wildflower honey add depth, leading to a long, crisp finish with a refreshing minerality and a hint of spice.
