2025 MENDALL ROSE BLANC DE CABERNET FRANC

Mendall Rose Vineyards, perched atop the scenic bluff overlooking Keuka Lake, takes its name from two key figures in the grape-growing community. Zeke Mendall, a pioneering force behind Taylor Wine Company and a longtime neighbor of this land, and John Rose, whose expertise was crucial in establishing these vineyards, are both honored through this name.

Cabernet Franc is New York State’s flagship red grape, and we are proud to cultivate it on our estate vineyards. Known for its versatility and dynamic expression, this grape can produce a wide range of styles, each a unique reflection of its terroir. Our Blanc de Cabernet Franc showcases the full potential of this variety as a white wine made from red grapes. Harvested and pressed directly off the skins to avoid drawing out any pigment, this wine was fermented slowly at cool temperatures in stainless steel to focus on the purity of fruit. The result is a refreshingly unique expression of Cabernet Franc that highlights its crisp, bright character and remarkable ability to adapt to diverse winemaking styles.
