2025 NUTT ROAD PINOT BLANC
Pinot Blanc is the lesser known member of the Pinot family. Nearly genetically identical to Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, this varietal maintains its individuality through color, flavor, and growing preferences. The existence of this grape can be traced all the way back to the middle ages in Central Europe!
A cool-climate lover, Pinot Blanc is a grape that grows well in the Finger Lakes. The climate brings out the natural acidity in the grape, and the shorter growing season lends well to Pinot Blanc’s quick ripening cycle.
Our Pinot Blanc was harvested from our Nutt Road Vineyard, located in the mid-west region of Seneca lake. The terroir offers a gentle slope down to the lake, loamy soil over limestone and shale, and good airflow, all of which creates an ideal place for the grapes to achieve healthy ripening.
Clean, refreshing, and zippy, our 2025 Pinot Blanc delivers a delicate drinking experience that will inspire you to slow down. This wine starts off with subtle white peach, which opens up mid-palate and transforms into a bright note of lemon zest with a hint of bartlett pear and wet stone. The satisfying lemongrass finish lingers pleasantly on the tongue, leaving a feeling of invigoration.
